Team Summary:

The Business & Corporate Affairs Team in Poland is in charge of the legal aspects of Poland’s office corporate and operational matters, including the management of all our local corporate governance matters, local and international compliance, and other related business and operations matters. Furthermore, this team runs all commercial contracting activities for the Poland operations, including the review and negotiation of vendor and contractor agreements, SaaS agreements, marketing and research agreements and all other agreements.


Position Summary:

Primary functions would be supporting the coordination of all legal affairs, including providing support to the Board operations matters, drafting Board resolutions, certificates, minutes, operating agreements, and other related governance documents. The Legal Coordinator will also support in the management of the legal tasks tool and coordination of contract review, approvals, signature gathering and filing. The candidate will also be keeping track and record of all contracts, prepare reports, spreadsheets, as well as support with legal research and provide other related support, including but not limited to, translation work, due diligence reviews, and other operational related matters. This person will also be giving support on the implementation of legal compliance matters across multiple areas of the business, including in areas of local Polish accounting, finance, tax, payments, facilities, and to the operations of the business in general. The Business and Corporate Affairs Team reports to the Puerto Rico Headquarters, and therefore, the Candidate needs to be available to work on different time zones if needed, and from time to time.

Requirements

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The Legal Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the attorneys that comprise the Business and Corporate Affairs Team in Poland and reporting to the Team in Puerto Rico. Specific tasks may include:

  • Coordinate all legal affairs matters for the Poland office in coordination with the Business and Corporate Affairs Associate and the Puerto Rico Headquarters.
  • Assisting with transitional work, including but not limited to, performing due diligence review, organizing contracts and operational documents.
  • Provide support on legal research, preparing reports, excel sheets, and presentations on Poland legal matters.
  • Researching and monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and submit reports on pertinent changes.
  • Assisting with drafting and reviewing contracts, memorandums, and analysis relating to law, compliances, corporate law as well as corporate governance issues.
  • Preparing translations from Polish to English when needed.
  • Organizing all electronic legal files and updating and maintaining any relevant spreadsheets and board documents.
  • Additional duties as assigned by attorneys comprising the Business and Corporate Affairs Team in Poland and Puerto Rico.

Qualifications:

  • Business-oriented approach.
  • Responsibility for own performance and ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Pragmatic thinking.
  • Excellent computer literacy (proficient use of MS Office, legal databases).
  • Excellent Analytical Skills to review the information and identify issues.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Proficient in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to do administrative work, and specifically, translations when needed.

Nice to have:

  • Fluency in legal English.

Education Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Law or final year student.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of legal/paralegal work-related experience.
  • Experience in a law firm or in-house environment preferred.

Location

  • Warsaw, Poland.
  • Flexibility to work different time zones from time to time and flexible to travel (once per quarter).

Salary:

7 000 - 11 000 PLN net + VAT (B2B)

6 000 - 9 200 PLN gross (employment contract)
